Michelle Varcoe has over twelve years experience in recruitment and managed a diverse range of assignments for large corporate clients and SME's across multiple industries including not-for-profit, health, education, legal, accounting, property, financial services, insurance, FMCG, IT and pharmaceutical.  She brings a professional corporate recruitment approach to our specialist not-for-profit division and has built her expertise and networks within the sector.  

Since commencing at Dakin Mayers in 2008, Michelle has built a strong reputation through successfully managing recruitment assignments in the not-for-profit, community, health and education sectors. Successful appointments include Chief Executive Officers, Corporate Services Managers, Finance Directors, Marketing & Communications Managers, HR Managers and Fundraising, Alumni & Development Professionals. 

Michelle joined the recruitment industry in Melbourne, initially focusing on temporary/contract recruitment.  She relocated to Dublin, Ireland in 2001 and worked for over four years managing permanent and contract assignments in the commercial sector, predominantly sales & marketing, accounting and general management.  For a period of twelve months whilst overseas, she managed the Nursing Division, recruiting Registered Nurses for Hospitals and Aged Care facilities across Ireland, Scotland, Great Britain, Wales, Australia and New Zealand. Returning to Melbourne in 2005, Michelle managed executive roles in finance, sales, marketing and general management with a national recruitment firm.

Michelle’s commercial experience, style and aspirations have transitioned well into our Healthcare, Not-For-Profit, Education and Philanthropic client base.  She works alongside our Director, Philip Mayers managing key assignments in the areas of Fundraising, Marketing and Development.

Michelle is an Associate Member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) and a Certified Professional Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (CAHRI).
