Peter has over thirty years’ experience in Human Resources Consulting.  Following several successful years as a Partner with Cruickshank Management Resources, a leading human resources consulting firm, Peter established his own company, Dakin Management Group in 1984, pioneering Executive Contracting in Melbourne.  He subsequently merged his business to form Silverman Dakin Pty Ltd, and under that banner, he was instrumental in bringing to middle and senior management staff the benefits of personalised Career Management and Outplacement services, (previously the exclusive domain of those at Director level or C-suite executives), as well as continuing to expand the Recruitment & Search, Contracting and HR Consulting practices within the business. 

Recent changes in the ownership and structure of the business have enabled Peter and Philip Mayers to launch Dakin Mayers & Associates Pty Ltd in August 2009, with its mission of 'Making your people our Priority'.

Peter's wealth of commercial and HR experience has afforded him the opportunity to develop a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the full range of interlinking human resources disciplines.

With strong sporting and community affiliations, Peter is currently a Committee Member of the Melbourne Cricket Club, President of Kingston Heath Golf Club, and is a past President of the Rotary Club of Melbourne.  These appointments illustrate his extensive personal experience operating at Board and Director levels.
